How long would you keep raw chicken in the fridge for? I thought it was 1-2 days, but then the use by date is well past that. How does it work?

1-2 days from when I brought it, but I will never use past the sell by.
Generally I have a few days from when I purchased it to the sell by date.
If I know it's expiring in two days then I won't buy it!

I think the store commercial fridges are colder or something so they have a few days until the sell by date.
Once purchased you need to use within 2 days. Chicken spoils quickly. Get in the habit of freezing (or cooking) chicken right away and defrosting as needed.
