Has anyone ever taken the 'Alive!' course? Is it still around? I'm so curious about it. What does it entail? Does it work? I'm looking for something not just to lose weight, but to encourage a healthy lifestyle with healthy feelings about eating. I do a lot of emotional eating and I don't have time, energy, money, or patience to deal with most 'healthy eating plans'.

I've heard great things about it though it costs a fortune! so I therefor did not and (probably) will not ever take it.
nothing much machadish, lots of water drinking and food balance from what I understand.

I've not taken the course and couldn't turn anything up via google, but if you're doing emotional eating a standard "healthy eating plan" will not be an efficient avenue for you.
Those plans are more effective for people that just have lack of nutritional information and need direction on HOW to eat healthy.
People that emotionally eat need to address the emotional part as that is the cause that results in self-medicating with food. The food is not the core of the problem but the symptom (much like a rash, you can put cream on a rash all you want but more often than not it's more effective and takes less work to figure out WHY there keeps being a rash).
It's important to address the food but in conjunction with the emotional side. That's been my experience.
The benefit is also that it's addressing 2 in 1 so it's also cheaper in the longer run!
