Thanks everyone I really cant find a nickname I like, Mutty is a family member so we cant use that just dont love Mordy and Mordechai is just too heavy for a little baby. All the other names people suggested sound more chassidush and we are not.
If anyone thinks of any more ideas greatly appreciate
Thanks!

Too heavy for a little baby? No, that's crazy.

If you use it, you'll get used to it. And baby will grow faster than you can imagine.

My son was Mordechai since birth and it was no biggie.

I hear her. I also felt that way, and I remember my mom saying he isn't going to stay Mordechai coz it's too long....well, so far he has! (Aside from occasionally at home when we call him Mo. But at daycare he's Mordechai. It's a great name!)

Mooky Smile

We use that name for Malky, but it also works for Mordechai, I think.

If you do initials I like the initials MJ and they are the only ones that make sense when I went through the alphabet. Personally I call my son Motts, Motty or Mordy.

My sons name is Mordechai which I love.
His nickname is Mordy or Mord which I don’t really like I would have preferred Mutty but it didn’t happen.
I think I like Mutty because I know a Mutty that I had a crush on.

Agreed, we use full names for almost all our kids and I think it’s beautiful to use the whole name.
