OP I know everyone here is telling you what an amazing chessed you are doing but please keep your radar up. Especially as you have written that you avoid confrontation and this woman is older than you, doesnt listen to you etc.

hauben roite bekalach- (Note: and child's cheeks were pinched at the end of this rendition!!!)

It's not implausible that she thought those are the real lyrics. Yes, it's a bit weird, and there is the obvious creepy interpretation. But getting underwear instead of diapers is a big deal for toddlers, and people have all kinds of potty training songs. ("Panties" is not a Yiddish word, but a lot of Yiddish speakers do use it.)

Yes. But specifically kichelach are bow tie cookies. (Like those sugar stuff made into a bow tie you get at the bakery)

OK, so this woman is really complex. She's distantly related to us. She comes over claiming to "help" around the house. I think (hope) she means well, but does things that make me crazy.

After my csection I was on the couch with the footrest up, dozing. She came up and started massaging my feet. I was so shocked that I woke up and immediately recoiled. She got insulted and retorted "well your feet smelled anyways but I was just trying to be nice..." very very awkward moment.

Then another time she overheard how I was trying to lose weight (was discussing with my friend while she was hanging around) and now she's constantly making comments " oohh you must be starving yourself you look skinnier. Are you taking the shot?"

I don't mind discussing weight in general. But it just feels invasive when someone is listening into my conversations and then making comments and assumptions.

Im sorry for this vent... I just feel a little lost since she's really much older than me and I want to be respectful (also she had a very tough life,from what I understand... So I want to be ultra sensitive to her in general...)

PS, I heard her saying panties myself, so it wasn't my son mishearing her. She giggles when she says it because it's kind of a joke to her I think. Like, she kind of gets a kick out of it.

But this isn't the only weird word she uses around my kids. She doesnt say "poop" she says c*ck. As in "does your son c*ck in the toilet yet" (while he was being toilet trained). I get that in some circles it's widely accepted to say c*cky/pishy when referring to #1 and #2 so I really can't fault her. But I really do find it odd and kind of... Icky? It's a word I'd personally never ever use... I think it's maybe a generational thing.

Overall, it's been about a day since I made the original post so and DS hasn't repeated the word "panties" so I'm just rally grateful and happy this is probably nothing/ all forgotten...!
