We stayed in a fancy hotel the first two nights after we got married and my husband loved the bathrobe..so I surprised him and bought it for him for our first anniversary!

Get something you can engrave with a message like "happy 1 yr. anniversary love, ??". It would be nice if you can find something you think he will use and therefore see often! Maybe a nice watch...
