So finally going to take the plunge and go with our 7+ kids to Florida for midwinter!
I have never been there myself and I'm confused about all the options. I would like to rent a house with a private pool (I have older boys) near a minyan. I would probably look on vrbo or airbnb.
We will probably bring some food & buy some food & do a couple of attractions. Which area should I be looking at?
Orlando, Miami, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Boca?
Also - Is it usually nice weather? What happens if the weather is bad?
All suggestions and advice are appreciated & welcome!!! Smile

Fort Lauderdale or Orlando is probably cheapest options. It can get chilly especially in Orlando and not be swimming weather but there are tons of other attractions indoor and outdoor. If your looking to save money cook your own food.

Good weather is definitely not a given. More often than not I've been rained out.

Thanks everyone! If the weather is not reliable maybe we will skip the pool. What are the best attractions to do? Does anyone have a specific rental to recommend that is close to a minyan? It needs to be walkable for Shabbos.

Orlando has a ton of attractions and most reasonable price for a house with a pool. However, you will need to find out where there will be minyanim and little if any kosher food.

Miami has tons of shuls and food. You can get a house with a pool in walking distance to shuls in North Miami Beach, but expect it to be significantly more expensive.

Weather can be a hit or miss, it can be beautiful or chilly and rainy.
