Why does seeded mean that something has seeds, but pitted means the pit has been removed?

Period Gone - Over a year
Listen, I know we've had a lot of infant shidduchim on this site recently, but this has to stop. Your over-a-year-old baby not having her period is NOT a reason to panic! Give her time, let her grow up, she'll get it in a few years or so.
