How do we keep the tzitzis from not falling in the toilet everytime dh goes on?? The tzitzis are so long, do people trim them or pin them up?

I'm sure your dh can figure it out on his own. As for my ds, he knows to hold them. We bunch them all up in the front and he holds it.

Trimming is 100% allowed, btw. I trim them when they are young, and then they learn to stand. Oh wait, they do have to sit sometime. I think they just learn to hold all 4 with one hand.

First of all, I'll assume you mean ds, and not dh. LOL.
I have several boys and there are a few approaches I have tried for this problem. When they were really little, and still getting the hang of things, I would just whip off the tzitzis before he went. After a while, they will quickly learn to grab the 4 corners and bunch them up, kind of holding them before they sit down. The 1st idea works well for really young ones, and the 2nd idea for 3 and up.
I also used to tie the 2 left corners together and the 2 right corners together but I gave up on that.
My youngest is 2. He does not have tzitzis yet, because he only does #1 in the toilet. But when he "goes standing" he automatically holds up his shirt, so I don't imagine it will be too hard to hold up his tzitzis. The harder part is convincing him to do #2 in the toilet.
Oh! I just remembered another idea, my mother did it with my brothers, and I did it with some of my boys. If they are wearing and undershirt that is separate from the tzitzis, just roll up the whole undershirt, tzitzis, and shirt for them in one big lump around their chest and they're good to go.
