My child who already had other chronic infections with neurological issues was having a major flare with massive meltdowns, fears and ocd. The next day I found an odd rash on her forearm. Took her to the pedi who said it's a Lyme rash from a lone star tick. Her tonsils were also extremely swollen. We put her on 30 days of amoxicillin, homeopathic leIreland? also some herbal antibiotics. Bh the rash went away and the flare subsided.

However, up to 70% of infected people never see a rash. Neurological and behavioral symptoms are extremely common and sometimes the only ones. If it's an old, chronic infection, treatment is often a lot more complex and longer. Lyme disease can also be passed on in utero.

Yes 2 of my kids did.
One had a swollen knee but no pain but the other had nothing but her behavior changed. She was an easy going kid that one day woke up very quickly whiny and very annoying and I knew something was wrong.
