I voted yes because that's the culture of both mine and Dh's families.
All children of immediate family are invited to all smachot.

Depends on the simcha and how close we are, but in general yes if it is close family then I'd bring the kids.
A simcha is an excuse to get together with the people you love, who you don't always get to spend time with on a daily basis.
So of course the whole family is welcome.
We just made a bar mitzva and there were tons and tons of kids of all ages. And it was perfect.
