Leave.
DH was at a toxic workplace for years. The toxicity spilled over to our life at home and it came to a point where it got unbearable. He finally got the courage to leave last year and our lives changed tremendously. It was the best thing he could've done.

Dealt with that for a year. Came so close to leaving and then the person who caused all the drama abruptly left. It was the biggest bracha

I decided money isn't everything.
Left and took a pay cut in my next position.
Was the best thing I could have done for myself and my family.

Start looking for a new job asap. Try to keep a sense of humor about the situation. I'm sorry. I'm currently in a toxic job and think about living daily.

My workplace wasn't toxic per se but there was one person who I had to work very closely with for years who was extremely toxic.
When I think about it, she really fits the criteria of a narcissist. I don't have the patience to describe her behaviour and how she used to treat -not just me- but everyone else as well. Suffice it to say that she saw everyone else as a pawn to use and take advantage of and to throw under the bus when her own actions were scrutinized.
I tried everything I could to be moved so I wouldn't have to work so closely with her, but she always put up such a fuss and insisted that she could only work with me and bullied admin until she got what she wanted. She had a love/hate relationship with me. Sometimes I was the best thing since sliced bread and others she would be cold, angry and rude and of course I never knew coming in what to expect.
I left. Not completely because of her but she was definitely a big part of the decision. Apart from her awful behavior she is also an extremely bitter person and I was always her sounding board for everything wrong with her life and at work. I actually do feel very sorry for her be wise she really doesn't seem to be happy, ever. It was so exhausting and it was starting to impact me.
Leaving and not being exposed that level of toxicity every single day was the best thing.

DH left toxic workplace. Traded one set of problems for another but what’s a salary with no mental peace?
I was comforted by the fact that Hashem doesn’t consider a toxic workplace as hishtadlus there’s no need to objectively suffer.
I’m not at the end of our story yet. ❤️

I left and didn’t even give notice . I explained in an email as to why I was leaving . The bosses were shocked that I was dealing with the toxicity all along and they had no idea and felt really bad for me. So they fully understood. It affected my mental health so badly I needed to be medicated . Once I left and worked in a healthy environment I was able to go off the meds and didn’t have these mental health issues afterward .
