I'm helping a relative find a makeup artist for herself for her own wedding in Monsey. Im ASTOUNDED by the prices, not some, but like 10 other artists I inquired pricing with. why on earth do they charge close to 2k for 4 faces?? thats without staying to post chuppa touch up. and a 250 charge for "travel"? (pomona to the atrium hall, not even 10 min drive, the fanciest party bus doesn't even cost this amount for 10 minutes. so if the kallah is the last to marry in the house, she plus mom and 2 sisters that's like 500 a face without touch-up after chyooah is this price normal? what kinda monopoly is this?? who makes this income in a day of working letsay even 7 8 hrs? no service labor business not even a doctor makes 2k in 1 day.

There are many wonderful makeup artists who charge way less, don’t feel pressured to go to the crazy overpriced ones. Do your research and you will find them. Never give in if it’s not something you’re comfortable with or can’t afford. There’s parnasa and there’s ripping someone off.

Not everyone charges those crazy prices.
Find someone else.
There are very experienced ladies that charge $150.
If you go to a beginner(some do a great job too!!!) You can pay $75 per face.
