AYLOR but it's possible that the baby doesn't have to be present.
Off topic, I had a miscarriage before getting pregnant with my first son. Originally we were told that it was late enough of a miscarriage that we wouldn't be making a pidyon haben.
In the end, when my son was few months old, DH discussed it with another rav and was told that there could be a calculation that would allowed for pidyon haben.
Since it was past 30 days and we didn't want to make it a whole "thing", DH privately went to a Cohen's house and did the pidyon.
The chiyuv at this point is on the father. If everyone can be civil, make a big party.
