My hair was getting so long, so I cut it (it was in a pony, and I cut it lower than the pony), but somehow it's now too short to stay in the pony, and my hair keeps poking out of any head covering.
What do I do?

Instead of using a pony can you use a barrette clip type of thing I do that to prevent the inevitable bump when wearing my shaitel

Interesting idea! Is it messy? Easy to wash out? How long does it hold?

Try to make smaller ponies , like pigtails. Also use a velvet hand band to keep the little pieces back.

Gel or mousse your side hairs and wear a wig grip. The wig grip really works! If you want to feel extra secure, you can always use bobby pins. To secure them, cross one over the other.

My wig grips aren't holding in the short hairs.

A weaving cap (elastic, looks like a fishnet) will be your best friend

Yikes! I can obviously relate. I bought the cap. It wasn't a perfect solution for me, but worked better than anything else I tried until my hair grew longer...

Buy tiny elastics.
Make 2 little ponies at the top/side of your head(think about 2yr old style) then make a low pony with all the hair that's left down.
It should work until it grows back, a drop more time consuming!
