I know I should hug and hold and kiss them more.
But I don't.
It's hard for me to remember and hard for me to actually do it.
I don't know why.
It's not my type, I don't like being mushy touchy.
But I know it's so important.
Any tips

My best tip is to make it a part of your routine. Kiss every child as they leave the house in the morning. Kiss every child when they get home. Kiss every child when you say good night. Imo that's a good start.

The best advice I've received for a similar issue was just to acknowledge it. Don't fight it as it will persist. Just notice that you are having a hard time. If you wish to do it more, notice that as well. Eventually things will change naturally. Just be ok with where you are right now.

I started by pushing myself a little more and over time it started to get more natural. There are key points in the day I'd make a point to remember to hug them. When they left for school, when they came back from school, when they go to bed, and then once that was more natural, I started to hug them at random times.

My kids don't give me a choice. They ask to be held all the time, hug me and shmush with me. Sit on my toes and knees and shoulders and hang off me. Maybe they need it more. If your kids aren't asking for it, they might be like you and not need it all that much. But all children need at least some affectionate touch.
