I don’t think Pesachya is so uncommon. Or Elkanah.

I know a Tani.
A French guy Chalom (he goes by Shalom).
Someone Genesha.
Also Mayor (yes with an O).
Rotem. |
In French, the "ch" is pronounced like "sh" in English-speaking countries.
So Chalom IS the correct spelling for Shalom, and Shabbat is written Chabbat.
(Unless his name is really Chalom with a Ches?)

Elkana is not an uncommon name.
The nickname for that is Kuni.

Thats a family name on my side.
We didn't name it because my husband calls his father Abba and it would be uncomfortable.

That is the late Zitichover Chicago Rebetzin. And her family says that they are not totally sure what the Shartza is. They were suggestions it was a corruption of another name.
Our family is very close to their family.

Is Tani a boy because that would be short for Eitan.
Chalom is just the french spelling Shalom
Rotem is not uncommon in Israel.
