In French, the "ch" is pronounced like "sh" in English-speaking countries.
So Chalom IS the correct spelling for Shalom, and Shabbat is written Chabbat.
(Unless his name is really Chalom with a Ches?)

That is the late Zitichover Chicago Rebetzin. And her family says that they are not totally sure what the Shartza is. They were suggestions it was a corruption of another name.
Our family is very close to their family.

Is Tani a boy because that would be short for Eitan.
Chalom is just the french spelling Shalom
Rotem is not uncommon in Israel.
