Each device can have 2 accounts, a personal and business.

The phone number that you sign up with for either one of these doesn’t have to be your main one. It used to be able to be one from a Google voice number but I’m not sure if that still works. It can definitely be from another number on your plan. You just need to be able to receive text messages to that number and there are many ways to set it up without a device.

WhatsApp asks you to put in your name. You can put anything there.

If you have WhatsApp or WhatsApp business on a number that’s not your regular one and you didn’t put in your name, it’s anonymous. However, if someone has your number saved, no matter what you put in as your name, they will know it’s you.

About your second question, you need to be invited or added to a group. There is no way (and there shouldn’t be!!!) to join a group without being invited or receiving a link.

Be aware that people will most likely block you if they don't know who you are. I block anyone who seems suspicious. Also admins won't add you to groups if they don't know you.
