I wouldn’t start with cereal
Basically it’s glue.
You can start with apple sauce, mashed sweet potato, pumpkin, banana.
Wait 3 days between each food to make sure it’s well tolerated

Ask your pediatrician about the waiting between each food.
Mine said it’s outdated research and unnecessary complicates things because you want to introduce as many flavors and textures as you can at a younger age so if you’re waiting so long between foods it can be harder

My younger 2 can’t have baby cereal. So we went straight to fruits, veggies, chicken soup, meat soup, beans (not for Pesach) etc

Unless there’s a history of allergies. I didn’t wait with one of my kids but turns out she has allergies to random stuff so I had to keep backtracking to zero to isolate the bad food
