It's a shame. I would send your child to a more advanced daycare than the one you went to. You can also practice colors with your kids, so they learn them better

How much is the norm to spend on a date?
I don't know about one, I normally buy a box of dates. They aren't cheap, so I buy them for Rosh Hashana, and occasionally for Shabbos because my son loves them.
