My cc account was closed. I have points to redeem and when I called them, they said it’s too late and I lost it as the account is closed.
Someone told me there is a way to still redeem the points. Anyone know anything about this?

It’s best to never close a credit card btw, rather call the bank and downgrade to a different card that doesn’t have the fees that are making you want to close the card. Closing a card hurts your credit history.

Unfortunately it was closed by the bank.

Capital one only allows access to points while the account is in good standing, and once an account is closed (for whatever reason) it automatically forfeits the points

Except if the bank closes it. We just had chase close lots of accounts for no reason. Just got letters in the mail that they will be closing them and we need to take out money from accounts or redeem cc points. Unfortunately it's pretty common. Happened to 5 ppl. I know in the last few months with chase. Branch had NO IDEA why. Nothing suspicious at all on the accounts. You never know.

File a complaint with the CFPB.

The company is required to answer. Often they will offer you the point value as a courtesy once you file a complaint.
