Has anyone ever added sleeves to a sleeveless gown? How did it come out? Any suggestions for a seamstress in brooklyn who does it?
Thinking about doing it, so would love to see a pic if you dont mind sharing

It usually doesn't work because the armholes are cut differently when a dress was made sleeveless (vs a dress that is made to have arms attached, more material is left by the armholes for this purpose.)

Sometimes people redo the whole top including the sleeves.

If you can get an exact match in a shell, and then shoulder seem of the shell isn't visible, and the shell isn't visible from the neckline, that can work as well.

I did it a few years ago by classy cleaners on new Utrecht and 48 it was $60. It wasn’t a structured sleeve, It was more of a poofy sleeve, which is a lot easier to make.
Plus the cost of the material I don’t remember how much that was

I added sleeves to a gown, didn't even realize it was complicated.
Used a seamstress in BP named Esti, I don't have contact info anymore though.
