What’s the best bread machine for making challah? I’m thinking of the ones that you just put all the ingredients in and it does everything from poof to bake.
Any machines that are specifically good for whole wheat or sour dough challah?

the biggest size you can find. but you'll need to pull the mixing paddles out before it bakes or they will bake into the dough.

The best machine is a Bosch with the metal bowl.after it finishes mixing put it in another bowl to rise..
whatever you do, a kitchen aid isn’t the one to use., although I’ve heard magic mill is also great..
Happy prepping

I take mine out of the machine before it bakes so that I can braid them. Otherwise it looks like a square loaf. Nothing wrong with that, I just like the traditional challah braided look.
