Please share if you have a good esrog compote recipe.

Cut up esrog into round slices as thinly as possible. Remove pits.
Cook up 3 times spilling water each time once it boils. Peel and cup up quince. Add to the pot of esrog after the esrog boiled 3 times. Add water and 1 cup sugar. Cook 3 hours until soft.

1 esrog & 1 apple? Will it be good with different type apple?
Should I add more sugar if it only soaked 5 days?

1 esrog 1 apple. I never tried soaking for short amount of time, so I dont know
