Lucky you!!
Besides going to hotel for Pesach, nebach is sooo stressful. You have to figure out and pack for three clothing changes a day, watch your kids in the hotel, put up with annoying family and or in laws and basically be in competition with everyone else there.

I don't have to worry about my kids ruining the furniture or breaking something in the house...there's literally nothing to ruin or break.
I don't have to agonize over how to make simchas, I.e. meals at home or in a hall, catered or self-catered, Shabbos or evening etc. The only option is always the cheapest option.
I don't have to worry about my kids growing up spoiled and entitled.
I don't have to stress over my DH choosing the wrong kind of jewelry for my birthday, anniversary, YT, or as a push present. Old Navy works just fine for me.

I don't have to start googling videos of how to properly pronounce all these high end stroller names.

No need for an intercom system when you can conveniently yell and be heard across the house.
When my kids tell me they're scared of robbers at night, I laugh and tell them that no robbers are coming to our house.
If clothing gets ruined, it's not the end of the world. It was probably a hand me down anyway.

Honestly, this is so true.
My husband's father and his nine siblings don't speak to one another because my husband's grandfather (their father) left a huge house to be split between them. And two wills written at two different times, one including his daughters and one which only includes the sons.
This yerusha has been dragged through the courts for years.
I say to my husband how sad it must be for his Saba to be looking down upon his children and seeing the bitterness and animosity that his yerusha caused.
And often say that I think I'd prefer not leaving anything like that for our children because I would never want them to reach that kind of place.
(No worries about that We don't even own our own place )

Thank you all. Husband lost his job and my income is pitiful. Not that we were well off before but this is very tight...
I needed this.
Benefits:
Not going to have to suffer with the dry chicken at that social function! No one is inviting me to their fundraiser! (OK, wasn't going to them before but still...)
Not going to worry about what seats I will get at the upcoming concert.
Winter break? No stressing over activities!
Dinner will be an activity and meal all in one- who else can play "chopped"? This week's judges are some of the pickiest eaters around.
No coffee with friends! More time with the kids playing Uno!

I don't have to deal with the noise and dust of construction on an extension.
I don't have to worry about my kids ruining expensive furniture.
No one expects me to give my time to volunteer for any causes.

I don't worry about locking the door when I go out. We have nothing worth stealing.

In a different thread, signs of money included a couch that isn't against a wall, new stockings, and kids who always have someone watching

My apartment is like a used furniture store.
I shop from the garbage (people put giveaway stuff near it).
I lock doors because I care about the people inside and not because there's much to steal.
