Can anyone tell me about it? What type of boys? Families?
My sons rebbi suggested it but I know nothing about it.
What are other similar mesivtas that boys would apply to? Thanks

What else did the Rebbi recommend?
I know one of two boys there. The best way I can describe the crowd is Not
Not overly Yeshivish (by Lakewood standards) but not overly balenatish
Not overly cool, not very "nerdy".
Not a high high level.
Not a low level .
Middle of the road.
But I only know a few people so I can't say for sure.
I'm a Boys Mom and I've done this a bit.
1) ask the Rebbi why he thinks it's a good option
2) ask the Rebbi what two other places he thinks Sukeniks is most similar to
3) ask the Rebbi for 4-5 recommendations. (You're probably going to apply to 3 or 4 so having 4-6 recommendations to start looking into can be helpful).

My impression (and I could be wrong, have never sent there) is that it's for a good boy who is interested in working and putting in the effort but on the weaker side in learning. Solid all around good boy who isn't "struggling", with good midos but lower level learning wise.

The boys I know ( who are not my children so I can't really tell you 100%, what their brains are like, but r close enough), are extremely solid boys who want to learn and do well but Hashem did not bless them with the kind of brains that would produce alef plus marks in a classroom. (I do not like calling boys 'weaker boys').
They are all boys who want to be in Yeshiva and don't want to play around and when they work at it- which they do, they probably, in elementary school were getting high 80s, low 90s kind of marks with the occasional higher marks thrown in.
The boys who are easily getting 100 are probably not applying there because there are other places on a much higher level that would challenge them more.
But it's for serious, good boys.
I 2nd keym above- the rebbe/principals are supposed to be giving you this information and you can always ask them if there's a boy from the previous year or 2 in your school that now goes there and if you could have that mother's number so you can talk to her directly.

The boys are very solid.
They are a very devoted hanhalah and really work hard to help every boy succeed. No one falls through the cracks.

Anyone here send to Sukenik?
I'd love to hear from Mothers if their boys are happy, balanced, learning well.
What's the schedule like?
