Hi
Any suggestions how to contain this?
Someone comes opens a box of pizza sticks it back in there.
Then comes the pizza bagels.
The cheese blintzes.
The falafel balls.
Bags of frozen broccoli.
Bagels
And it goes on and on.
The more I try to organize it the more stuff falls out of there .
Does anyone have a solution for me
Pictures would be great!
Thank you!

Try using bins into which you "file" packages of food. Things don't fall out of bins onto the floor every time you open the door. (Hey, that rhymes!) Before investing in costly bins, try the system using cardboard boxes. If you find that filing in boxes helps, then and only then go out and buy bins. Remember to measure three times to make sure you get bins that will fit the space.

I have bins that I lay sideways to make a cubby. It divides each shelf into two sections and I have a category of food in each one (bread, vegetables/fruit, prepared foods, etc). I try to keep everything upright so I can see what’s in there and it stays neat.

That’s a good idea! Did you buy the bins online?

First of all, take out all the boxes.
Frozen pizza could go in the bag it comes inside or a gallon size freezer bag
Then designate shelves with container
Measure your shelves. I use the multipurpose bins from the container store (I literally use them all over my house, from freezer to pantry to study to garage, you name it)
Designate each one with a purpose
Frozen fruit
Frozen veggies
Frozen chicken or meat
Ready made food (meaning store bought)
Home made food
Herbs (I keep these on the door)
Breads/challah
Ice cream/ices
Puff pastry/pastry crusts, etc

You can combine catergories as needed
This is what works for me and my freezer needs barely any upkeep because it’s so simple to put things away like that

Oh! And LABEL the bins. So that everyone else knows where things go
And never put back a box. Just put the contents in a freezer ziplock

Are boxes falling out of the freezer or is food falling out of the open boxes?
Once something is opened it should be bagged to prevent freezer burn - which will also prevent things falling out. In terms of keeping everything neat and organized - yeah, that's just a constant job. It's a like playing Tetris to make everything fit well and stay visible.

Could you please send me a picture of the bins you are talking about?
Thank you

No they’re from amazing savings. But it depends what size your freezer is anyway.

I think the only answer is to go through and clean your freezer frequently. Bin systems only work for neat people, not for myself. I just clear out the space and chuck stuff weekly. Help a lot!
