If a worker is driving the company car for work and gets into an accident, who is responsible for repairs to the vehicle? Worker was at fault in the accident.

Is there no contract outlining this?

The owner doesn't have insurance that covers the worker?

The company should have insurance that covers any drivers regardless of who is at fault

If the boss makes the worker pay, he has to realize that no one will ever be willing to drive for him again

Regardless of fault, it’s the owner’s responsibility.
I work at a camp it’s not unheard of for our teen staff members to do something irresponsible that requires financial outlay to fix. It is NEVER their responsibility to pay it. It’s part of the cost of running a business and hiring workers.

It is the responsibility of the owner.
It is black letter law that an owner is responsible for the actions of their employee. If they injured someone with the car, then the owner would be responsible for that as well.
That is why owners of businesses insure company cars for a large amount as well as checking the driving record of employees.
The only exception in the law is so-called "frolic and diversion" - I.e. if the driver had taken the car out without the permission of the owner and not on company business. But even with that the owner would probably still be liable based on having given the worker access to the car.
Really not different than a parent being responsible for the actions of their child or anyone who uses their car with permission.

Glad everyone agrees. My son's boss wants him to pay for damages and I keep telling him that the boss should have insurance and it's his responsibility.

Did he get the police report? He can call in the accident to insurance himself
