Any recipes out there for gooey, fudgy brownies made with oil and cocoa (I.e. no margarine or chocolate)?

Thanks. What does the texture come out like?
Also, 1 hour seems a bit long?

I haven’t made it in awhile, but I do think that it’s one of the best recipes I’ve come across.
I was also looking for one with cocoa and oil. It’s very dense and very delicious. I think the hour baking time is accurate, but check earlier if you are concerned. Use high quality cocoa and you’re set!

This is a really good recipe. These brownies are extremely easy to make and the recipe uses the simplest ingredients, like oil and cocoa.
IMO the salt and the baking powder are what give these brownies an edge over other recipes. The salt really brings the chocolate flavor into focus and the tiny bit of baking powder improves the texture so that these brownies are chewy but not 'sludgy'.
These are the changes that I make to the recipe:
I use only 3/4 c sugar
I line the pan with baking paper instead of greasing it.
I use an 8 x 8 square pan and bake the brownies a tad longer, for 27-30 minutes
I sprinkle choc chips on top before baking.
I don't add nuts cause of my family's preference but I'm sure they would be delicious with them too.

Eat the edges for me! That is the best part.

One of the Lubavitch cookbooks (either the old yellow or the newer purple) has a Chocolate Brownie Cake recipe (might be under 'bars') which comes out so good.
