I'm not sure how to describe this correctly, but I'm looking to make meatballs/spaghetti but I don't want to form balls. I'd like to saute the chop meat and then cook it with sauce/spices. And then serve a spoonful of the meat on top of the spaghetti. Can anyone tell me how to do that properly? Preferably with measurements and times. Thanks!

Look up cheatballs on kosher.com
Esti wolbe has a shortcut hack so you don’t have to form the balls

That’s exactly what you do. Sauté meat (and onions and garlic if you want) then add sauce and cook it for a few minutes until it gets hot.

It's called spaghetti bolognese. Google should have recipes.

This is what we call sloppy Joe's. I pour one or two cans of tomato sauce into a pan spice with onion, garlic a little paprika, sugar and let the sauce boil up a bit, then I add ground beef ans chop it down. Let it cook on medium for a bit so the meat cooks up, cover and turn to low. Cook for about 25 minutes. Yum! Tastes delicious with rice and corn tucked into an Ortega taco.

What Americans call meat sauce? Or the English call Bolognese sauce?

Brown the meat with the water in a pan until it is no longer pink. Add the rest of the ingredients and warm.

I do it until it’s hot. But I also wait until the meat is fully cooked before adding the sauce.

In England pretty sure we called regular "meat sauce" Bolognese and didn't use any fancy long cooking method.

This is the first recipe I saw, and it cooks for half an hour.

Not necessarily

What the Italians call "Sunday Gravy" cooks for hours but that is because there are large cuts of meat so it is more of a braise- and includes pork, beef an sausages.

AFAIK, Bolognese is made with ground meat and is slow-cooked, whereas meat sauce is made with chopped up pieces of meat.

It sounds to me like Bolognese is closer to what OP wants (sauce made with ground beef that otherwise would have gone into meatballs).
