My kids use them all the time. I have printed from online different templates for them to copy which use triangles, they also love to make a round tunnel (one kid calls it a streimal and adds his Kippah to the middle) by alternating squares and triangles and then making it 3D. They sometimes build off from that by adding the tall triangles to the middle or this week they made a whole network of tunnels by creating of the main circle more circles.
And of course the toddler needs to make Pizzas.
I did find they use to ignore them until they were given ideas of how to use them
