We want to pick olives 🫒 with our kids.
Anyone knows a place in the Yerushalayim or Beit Shemesh areas where we can find olive trees?
Any info will be appreciated.
TIA

Do you read Hebrew?
See this website - farmers all over Israel looking for volunteers for fruit and veg picking.
Only drawback is that there aren't many places in the Jerusalem/ Bet shemesh area - more are in the South.
Secondly, many of the places I've called don't take volunteers under 16/17 years old. So depends how old your kids are.

You can also try calling the Gazelle valley https://www.gazelle-valley.com/
We once did an olive picking activity there - but I'm not sure it was this time of year. More like Succot time.

I’m sure you know this but I’m just pointing out that fresh olives from the tree are not tasty at all. They don’t taste anything like the store bought olives. They are hard and not salty.

We want to pick the olives and take them to a Beit Habad to have them make olive oil for us.
