I've always liked the name yehoshua, especially with everything going on now, if I have a boy I'd like to give the name....
But everyone I know with the name yehoshua is extremely wild, know a few who aren't frum anymore, just not good refined boys...
Maybe I'm just weird but anyone relate to not liking a name because you know someone annoying/strange/bully/mentally ill etc with that name
I love the name yehoshua....please share with me if have a husband/son/brother/neighbor/nephew with the name who has good middos and good personality etc
Sorry if you think I'm being weird (I blame the hormones;) ....humor me pls

We call my son Sheya and he isn't wild. My nephew is called Yehoshua and he actually is very rambunctious but he's only 3 and he's gotten a bit better with time.
They were both named after my grandfather who was the calmest person ever. It was hard to even fight with him because he was such a calm person.

Cousin -goes by shua is funny, kind, well liked.

I'm a kindergarten morah for many years. Could only think of one rowdy yehoshua (and he had another name) he was adorable and extremely intelligent though and had lots of freinds.

My son Shua is an exceptional child. He is only 5 but watches his eyes all the time, wears earplugs when in a car with non Jewish music, and no I didn’t teach him this. He also has an extremely good heart. He isn’t overly wild at all, just average boy.

My uncle is yehoshua - he's a very special person who has worked on himself his entire life - well into his 70's now. Go for it!

My son Shua is the most ernst and sweet kid you’ve ever met! He loves learning, plays beautifully with friends and is very popular. Self assured and very smart
Not sure the Shuas you know, but mine is not wild

My son is Yehoshua.
The most cutest charmer in the world. (Not biased- I have been told by others)
He is so so calm and cuddly.
Very friendly.
At the age of 3 his Morah said during circle time he needs to sit in the middle of the circle so everyone is sitting next to him as they all fight to sit next to him.
We have a neighbour who joined his class this year and often waits for my son to come of the school bus (he stays for afternoon, neighbour doesn't) so that he can play straight away with him.
I have received multiple randomly sent letters from different morahs telling us how great he is in all different areas B'H.
My husbands brother is also Yehoshua and I always said whoever marries him is the luckiest girl.
He is toooo calm!

There is something to names and character mazalos. Completely feel the same as you, you are not crazy.
Use two names and/or have kavanah for specific tzadik when naming.

My husband's family has tons of Yehoshuas...it's a family name.
Everyone of them is frum, loving, a good husband and a good father.
I'm talking about 8 Yehoshuas right there... so you're good to go!

So many just shared all the yehoshua in their life who are good fine boys and men...
I'm going to have in mind yehoshua from the Torah
I specifically like yehoshua because yehoshuas Hashem kheref ayin is good reminder
