Do you just get them knit ones? It's snowed so little in recent years

Of course, but I don’t buy new ones each year. We have a lot of sizes. If it does snow, they can’t wear the knit ones

I get my kids puddle boots with a cozy insert, so if it does snow they're covered. If we're gonna have a blizzard predicted then I would probably go get them actual snowboots, but barring that puddle boots with an insert should be enough

Maybe posting your location would help Wink

Everyone gets warm snow gloves, snow boots, and snow pants where I live.

I make sure everyone has a pair of snow gloves and non snow gloves. I check what I have from before and buy if needed. I also keep a few extra pairs as when it snows they are out for hours and need to switch
I buy snow boots a size big so it last longer. When I see in the forecast we are getting snow I checked everyone boots and order prime for whoever doesn't have. I buy only blue/black/grey so either gender can wear them and can pass them down.

Yes and boots. I don’t buy anything fancy or stylish just functional gender neutral colors and they live in the storage room unless it snows. I even have snow pants. For the once a year it snows my kids are literally outside morning to night.
