Ooh yum. Please share with me. Except the coconut water. Do you actually like that? Or is just for energy??
What’ssun butter cups? A healthier peanut butter cup?
And why ponies?

So you’d pick a sour gummy over a cupcake with cream? |
Lol yes I would! I just like the name cupcake and not to say I won't eat them, but candy is better!

Im always amazed at your creative culinary skills and your gourmet dishes.
Kept it pretty simple with repeats this yt. Some fancy stuff, that do every sukkos but some plainer, and repeated same dishes for more than one meal.
Right now I have little picky eaters home, no guests.
Also didnt have the physical and mental capacity to patchke too much, like lot of planned dishes just didnt happen |
That’s kind of you! I’m always amazed at your skills! You have so many ideas!
We are similar. I always look at kosher.com or BCP and other bloggers for ideas and then tweak it to make it work for me.
My dh is picky and so are my kids so I only cook fancy when I guests I can actually impress. My talents are wasted on my family so I can relate they only want boring meatballs, so the stuffed veal with have to wait!

But.. We can’t get it all.
Can you share a challenging time in your life and what helped you get through it? |
This is not going to be especially inspirational or helpful… but the only thing that helped me get through my five years of infertility was having a baby at the end of it. Even now with two kids, I don’t feel normal and I don’t know if I ever will.
But I guess it helped to feel like I was doing some spiritual hishtadlus. Kvatter and Nishmas and perek Shira and a Tehillim support group and shiluach hakan… I like my segulos.

When I was a young newlywed with one baby, my younger cousin came to Visit me in my cute little apartment. Of course I showed her my extensive nosh collection and let her indulge herself.
She went home to her mother and with wide eyes she exclaimed- I never met a mother who eats so much nosh!!!! (To be fair, it was most of DH stuff, I’d take a cupcake over a sour stick any day.)
What are you doing/did today?

5 years is a long time! I appreciate you sharing because a close family member has just begun treatments and I’m at a loss with how to respond. My heart breaks for her. I never know if I’m saying the right thing. Like how to respond to someone who says- well at the rate that we’re going I’ll never be a mother so… So I’ll just say nothing. Me.. at loss for words.
How old are your children?

Such a cute story!! I'm sour sticks all the way, the blue ones are just the best!
I met up with a friend I haven't seen in a while who lives in a different city now. Was so nice to catch up with her!

I have no clue what segulos are real and what not, im just telling you the suggestions I got and at first listened to all till I stopped.
I was not going to put up rimonim in others sukkahs and be the pity party. I did hang 7 in my own sukkah, but they all rotted in the heat so couldnt eat it after that....which wad part of the segulah

What I learned don't give segulos and medical advice if you are not asked.
It's pretty annoying to.say the least

I’ll never understand why someone would take a perfectly sweet candy and make it sour.. but I digress.
That’s so nice you met up with your friend. Do you keep up on the phone?

7.5 and 3 bh.
Just don’t lie to her. I have had way too many people do things like be pregnant and talk about it on WhatsApp groups only to lie to my face when I wish them bshaa tova, and then announce a couple months later that they had a baby… or message me to whine about the secondary infertility they’re experiencing while 22 weeks pregnant with their third child in three years
Though I probably don’t need to tell you that you’re sensitive enough to wonder about the right thing to say.

Excuse me but I’m laughing. I don’t mean to be rude but that’s really funny. I’m not a segulah person at all. Except once when I was single my father’s friend told me to “fill up the camels” just like Rivka did right before she got a shidduch. So I filled up my mothers car with gas (though to be fair I used it all the time).
Love your username. What are you grateful for atm?

We have similar ages. Mine are 6.5 & 2.5. Someone recently asked me if they are friends because of the age-gap and I just had to LOL. They are best of friends bh. Also, my older one is on the spectrum so he relates to my younger one almost at her level (she’s very on ball). So, I told her, don’t worry, Hashem worked it out just fine! Who would’ve guessed?!?
Yes, that’s rude.
I’m generally sensitive. I hope at least I am.
What do your kids do after school?

If I'm honest I used to prefer sweeter candy but in the last 6-7 years really switched over to more sour.
We do! She's my only friend that I am able to have a proper text convo with where we can get enough info on each other's lives to feel like we are socializing! We were just discussing today how funny (and annoying) it is when we text someone and they respond with a one word answer that leads the convo nowhere.
