And that’s where we differ - I don’t do veggies at all!
Lol it was nothing creative. Just a word with my wedding date after as the numbers. Something like flower314

I used to love doing crosswords with DH! We’d do the one in the back of the Lakewood voice each week. Was easy enough. Haven’t done that since I moved from Lakewood and you reminded me how much we loved it.
Are you able to listen to a podcast and not do anything else? I can only listen if I’m cleaning cooking or doing laundry otherwise it’s too boring.
Wow you should go to bed earlier (though you already know it!). |
Don't want to specify exactly, but in the healthcare space but not patient facing. I kinda miss being in school tbh, I loved researching and writing papers. One day (when I'm retired lol I don't have time or energy right now) I want to go back to school and get another degree but in a totally useless area. Although my job isn't the most interesting of routes I could've taken, I do appreciate that I'm in a frum environment right now with nice coworkers bh (which I do not take for granted bec in my experience the people you work with make a huge difference in your day to day life)
There's something so energizing about a podcast when I'm cleaning, but if I'll be honest lots of times I'm playing candy crush at the same time as listening I love crafting though and sometimes I'll do that. It feels good to make things and gives my mental health a real boost.

SuperWify wrote: | My jaw just dropped. 15k steps a day and she thinks she doesn’t exercise? Lady, I do 9k on a good day but my usual average is 7/8. (Although better from last year wherein I only did 5…)
Oh, and shes also 4 months pregnant, she casually says.
(I’ll take your leftover energy please.) |
I don’t consider walking exercise anymore since it’s just part of my life at this point. I walk literally everywhere.
Started as a teenager running errands for my mom who had problems with her feet.
My first job was a 45 minute walk from my parents house and I walked it every day regardless of rain, sleet, hail, tornado.
Then family members started doing Fitbit challenges and I decided to get one and join. I won pretty much every challenge because I averaged 18k steps a day at that point. I joined a friends group that was more competitive and was doing 25k a day.
Later, when I got engaged, I used to spend HOURS on the phone with DH. I used to go on walks while I’d talk to him since I had no privacy at home. I was getting an average of about 30k steps in during my engagement. (One day I got a whopping 37k or 38k steps. My feet were threatening to secede from the rest of my body by the time I got to bed)
Then I moved to Israel. Where there are hills. I HATE hills. Dropped to 6k a day. Which probably accounts for the 30 lb weight gain that occurred over Shana rishona.
When we moved back I got back into walking although never as much as used to do. Lost 2/3 of the weight I had gained. A little less than a year ago I started going to the gym to try to lose the last bit. (Didn’t work since I had a thyroid problem which was only diagnosed a bit later)
And then you know the rest. Beyond walking I normally don’t exercise.

I just got my Apple Watch and started counting. It’s really helped me stay focused and my goal is 10k a day. FTR, Im a huge soccer mom by no fault or desire of my own but rather my current circumstances in life. In and out of the car allll day.
Today I dropped my kids off at school and didn’t go out the rest of the day. I stayed home worked and cooked and asked a bunch of strange online some random insightful (I hope) questions. I had carpool bring the kids back and take my son to soccer practice. So it felt like a mini vacation! Forget about my steps today lol.
But my point is, if you’re moving that’s excellent for your health. Don’t underestimate that!

Thanks for your patience. And your username brings such good memories. I loooooove Boca!
Do you wear always a tichel/ Mitpachat? Do you wear wigs or are you opposed to the idea?

That’s so nice!! Mazel Tov!!!! How are you feeling? How did you fast or not?
Hoodie sounds like such a good idea for me and I’m nearly 3 years postpartum 😜 I’m going to change RN!

Ooh that’s against my rules….
Honestly if I share the story behind my username you’d have a laugh. To share or not share. That is the question….

SuperWify wrote: | Hi writeread! Am I remembering correctly that you are perhaps an author?
What have you written? And regarding the reading part- what do you like to read? |
Am I an author? I guess. I have published a few pieces in popular Frum magazines in the past. The secret to getting published is to be chilled about rejections. I got at least three or four rejections for every one piece accepted. Sometimes more.
I like to read imamother.com. Surprised?

No worries! I’m actually from Miami Beach but when my sister told me about this site she said she would try to figure me out so I wrote Boca to throw her off in case I would be answering FL related threads 😆
It took her about 2 seconds to find me though!
I married Sephardi and I only wear tichels outside the house. I do have 2 beautiful long wigs that I wear at home, when I’m in the mood.
Oh, and I’m not anti-wigs, people often feel a need to confess to me why they wish they could wear only tichels but they can’t because XYZ.. but really I’m not a priest and I have no opinion on how other people cover their hair!
