And how will his mother continue being supported? I understand the house is probably paid off but there're still utility, food, insurance, property tax bills

That's definitely what I thought. But I'm wondering if this will be wrapped up by Sukkos like serials often are? Things will have to move quickly in order for that to happen.

Maybe maybe Eli is planning on doing such a drastic move so Dina will see sense but a) I don't see him being so crafty and b) I don't see it working.

I think it's a great idea.
Let Dina get the failing business. Run it into the ground. And be forced to pay for all her luxuries herself.
Eli can find a new job. Either way he's not benefitting from this business.
This way he won't be tied to Dina. And be forced to support her.

it is realistic that people like dina don't go for any accountability like uncle aharon was appropriately and intelligently putting into place along with his gift/loan

I think it's a great idea if Dina would be more normal. I think he's better off without this business that's anyway failing and not have the family be mad at him.
But when dealing with crazy people there is never a way out. Dina will keep this fight alive. Eli will ultimately have to learn that dina is has a personality disorder, he will have to learn better communication, he will have to learn how to set up proper bounderies, and how to learn to live with a sister that hates you and badmouths you. He will have to learn how to keep his family-his wife and kids happy, and not pick his sisters happiness over theirs.

I hope that this is the direction it will take, not that he will give more of himself and she'll be happy. Because that is not reality. In reality challanges are here to build and change ourselves.

Nope someone like Dina would still accuse Eli of embezzling or sue him for dissolution of assets or something even if he gifted her the business
Someone like her would shlep them all through expensive going litigation unless they buy her off with a cool million or something
She will fight for all the benefits and none of the responsibility
She will demand a “claw back” of funds
It will never be enough and never her fault

Sorry to say the characters seem very flat two dimensional at best
