I would love to hear tips and ideas on how people are doing teshuva now before rosh hashana?

We choose one thing we are going to work on improving in the coming year. We usually discuss it as a family on the shabbos before RH.
Sometimes we pick on bein adam le'chavero and one bein adam le'makom.

I'm more makpid about davening mincha during Elul.

Try to repair things.
As far as kabbalos, go small. Then go smaller.
