Please post your best most favorite can-can salad

I like to keep cans in case of emergency on long YT. In case DH comes home with more ppl, or the salads went bad.

I’ll start
Sliced heart of Palm
Sliced Black Olives
Corn or Baby Corn
Mayo
Salt and Pepper

I always keep vacuum sealed beets for the same reason. I like them better then canned. There are so many variations on beet salad.

This is delicious. Canned chickpeas, baby corn, Israeli pickles. Add 2 tomatoes and red onion if you have.

https://www.imamother.com/foru.....69594

We make this on vacation when we can't bring fresh produce.

Also I sometimes make a salad of 2 cans whole button mushrooms. Marinate, add scallions and sesame.

I would actually like more ideas please! Would be great for vacay (dh doesn't like olives or mushrooms so looking for more ideas without).

A friend gave me this one (she calls it 4 cans & a bottle):

1 can each (drained):
Chick peas
Green beans
Wax (yellow) beans
Kidney beans

1 bottle (depending on size):
Italian dressing (better not to use low-fat)

Mix together.

Lasts in the fridge for weeks.

Feel free to add diced pepper or canned corn. Add cubes of cheese to make a great (take-along) lunch.

I eyeball it but basically equal parts soy, teriyaki and brown sugar, crushed garlic and ginger, splash of roasted sesame oil. Heat through in a small saucepan until sugar is dissolved.

Or dress with bottled Italian dressing. You can also add grape tomatoes. (I use whole olives)
