Has anyone ever asked a rav about buying refurbished appliances? Should I be concerned that the appliance is used like the blade and pitcher of a blender.

I haven’t asked but I would think it’s definitely an issue

I would think they had to fix motor or something that wasn't working but everything else is new.

Things that need to be refurbished are generally used things that break….if it’s brand new, why would it need to be fixed? Now it could be the actually cup and blade are brand new and just the motor part is refurbished but I don’t know how you would be able to verify it.

I believe that is true, but they are buying metal appliances and need to kasher parts that are in contact with food. It may be fine to buy a used blender, but you would likely need to replace the blades, the pitcher, and anything else that might have been directly used or washed with hot treif material.
