Anyone remember watching the live fish (carp?) in Ossies on 13th Avenue (before they moved onto 50th street)?

I was there at the Gideon Bush shooting . I happen to have been eating at someone’s house around the corner . That was a creepy story .
Leib y Kletzkys story and Rubashkin both happened while I was no longer in BP but remember partaking in the gripping story of Leiby and the over joyous occasion of Rubashkin. As a young child I went Yom Tov shopping at Rubashkins with my mother in BP . She made a massive meat order in his store before the yomim tovim. I remember him working there with his father . Way before he moved to Iowa.

I was outside near the shooting as well. I saw him on the stretcher. Sad

I remember seeing live fish in their 50th st store and their fresh lox can’t be imitated.

I remember standing across the street parallel to the open door of his apartment and just feeling shaky and nauseous. And seeing crime scene tape everywhere. There were so many sirens and that’s what pulled me in the direction to check what’s going on.

Shoutout to KRM still going strong after all these years. Who remembers the twin men working there (they may still work there now)? They were always matching. Down to the comb sticking out the same amount in the same back pocket.

Freunds fish had live carp swimming and I remember climbing up to watch them swim in the huge pool they swam in.

Oh my these memories.
I was standing in front of Sury Feldman's house waiting for her return. She never showed up.
Gideon Bash...this name rings such a bell. Can someone refresh my memory? Who remembers when Teen Boutique was still in an apartment in an apartment building? Can't remember exact location though.
Somebody mentioned Mini Temptations...oh my..our entire stationary collection came from there.
$1 a slice at Mendelsohns pizza shop with a free cup of punch with every slice . Anybody?

OT and don't know which store, but I remember being a young child and spending the week with my grandmother AH. She took me to the fish store and it smelled...and I saw the live fish, and how they took one out and banged it on the head....

I ran out to the sidewalk and resolved to never touch fish again (a resolution I have BH NOT kept).

I remember Famous Dairy and Kosher Castle

The best kosher restaurants BP ever had

My parents didnt keep kosher but we came to BP specially to eat there
