Tzirel is fine. I like it better than any alternative. We don’t give English names either.

I have a sister Tzirel and I absolutely love the name. I personally don't especially care for Tziri but really like Tzirel. All the Tzirels I know happen to be very pretty. I don't know too many Tziris though. I was actually surprised when someone in my circles told me she disliked the name (but had to name her daughter that), because I always considered it such a pretty name.
Tzirel is way prettier imo than Tzurty. Dh's grandmother was Tzurtel and dh wanted to add a name but I actually was totally ok with just Tzurty even though I don't love the name.
This is in BP, where Yiddish names are very common and Tzirel is pretty accepted. (Btw, in our circles, Hebrew names that are very common elsewhere are unheard of in our circles, such as Naava, Yael, Michal, Shira, Ariella, Atara, Aviva, Danielle....)

Don’t live in BP, but this is essentially my reality.

Op, I really admire the way you want to do this for your dh even though it's hard for you.

I like the name it is adorable and while not uncommon not overused and lends itself to cute nicknames
You can always come up with a unique nickname too

I wouldn't use a C. People might confuse it with the man's name.

One of my kids’ legal names is Perry. I thought I was making it easier for myself because Perel looks like a misspelling of peril. But now she has a man’s name. Lol.
