I sent my son off to camp this am. I labbelled all his dark sox with a silver sharpie that was suppose to be perm. (It washed out ). Last year I ironed on labels at the bottom of the foot. Nedless to say he hated it nad ripped the labels all off. Anyone tried liquid paper?? I did a sample with dollar store brand that was sorta old and dried up. It kinda washed out. So when I went to sta[ples to buy the real thing I saw the sharpie in silver and thought it would do better. any ideas??

We usually do white socks and a sharpie on the sole. Perhaps the silver sharpie would work better if you wrote his name on the inside of the portion that goes over the calf instead of on the sole. Iron-on tags could go there as well, I suppose.

I dont think I ever labeled sox. I strung them all on a big safety pin and never had a problem.
or put them in a mesh bag and label that.

I always iron labels to the botttome of the sock, but I always send a labled sock bag (mesh bag) for them to use as well (in case labels fall off.) So far I never had a problem with labels falling off.
