Did any first time applicants get answers yet?
If we didn't get an answer do we just wait or have to look for pull already?

So happy for your daughter!
New camper without sibs?
We got a rejection today Pale

"It was our sincere pleasure to receive your daughter's application. Due to the overwhelming response, we have been forced into the unpleasant task of limiting enrollment, even for very worthy applicants."
Was hoping to get in on our own merit but going to have to make some phone calls now...

We got the same rejection letter today. I'm so sad for my daughter. It is a good thing they made us send in her immunization record, insurance cards, credit card number Sad How do I break it to my daughter? This is the only camp her classmates are going to and I don't think I can send her to a different camp without knowing anyone.

I was told not to bother applying to BRC for a first timer, if it makes you feel better.

Of course that's how you got in. We got in the same way when we first started sending a few years back. They take in all their students

I was in your position last year, and we didn't get in. There's are way too many applicants.
My recommendation would be to apply to a new camp like kesser or tal.

Everyone keeps telling me it is important to go with friends. All of my daughter's friends have older sisters so they are got into camp as siblings. She is extra sad now about not having a sister and not much I can do about that. Is it irresponsible to send her to a new camp without knowing anyone?

As per Perlstein, 250 new campers "were rejected"
I wonder if any new families even got in. They offered me a slot as mothers helper but I'm really not looking for that. I want my daughter to have the full camp experience.

The new camps opening are $3K+. We really need another affordable camp option for girls who dont have older sisters.

Many girls go alone and make new friends. I’d write on the bunk requests to put her in a very mixed bunk and not with a big group that came together from school.

Depends on your dd's personality. For me as a young teen, going to a new camp with no friends was the absolute BEST thing ever. I did it twice lol Smile and made friendships that iyh will last me for life, much deeper friendships than my school friends.

Why don’t u take the mothers helper position for this year and then hopefully for next year she can get in as a regular camper? At least get ur foot in the door
