Did any first time applicants get answers yet?
If we didn't get an answer do we just wait or have to look for pull already?

Oh no! I’m so sorry for both of u!
I send to one of the Perlstein’s schools, so I wonder if maybe that helped

You can try calling and see what the wait list is like.

I was told not to bother applying to BRC for a first timer, if it makes you feel better.

Of course that's how you got in. We got in the same way when we first started sending a few years back. They take in all their students

I was in your position last year, and we didn't get in. There's are way too many applicants.
My recommendation would be to apply to a new camp like kesser or tal.

Everyone keeps telling me it is important to go with friends. All of my daughter's friends have older sisters so they are got into camp as siblings. She is extra sad now about not having a sister and not much I can do about that. Is it irresponsible to send her to a new camp without knowing anyone?

As per Perlstein, 250 new campers "were rejected"
I wonder if any new families even got in. They offered me a slot as mothers helper but I'm really not looking for that. I want my daughter to have the full camp experience.
The new camps opening are $3K+. We really need another affordable camp option for girls who dont have older sisters.

Many girls go alone and make new friends. I’d write on the bunk requests to put her in a very mixed bunk and not with a big group that came together from school.

Depends on your dd's personality. For me as a young teen, going to a new camp with no friends was the absolute BEST thing ever. I did it twice lol and made friendships that iyh will last me for life, much deeper friendships than my school friends.

Why don’t u take the mothers helper position for this year and then hopefully for next year she can get in as a regular camper? At least get ur foot in the door
