I don't care about my looks. I mean, I'm put together, but I don't focus on the externals. I don't spend my time or money on shopping and manicures and whatever the latest trend is. I replace clothing as needed and tend to wear the same styles that suit me rather than buying the "in" thing. I wear comfortable flats instead of heels.

When my SIL who weighs 80 lbs less than me complains that she’s so fat, we can look at her with compassion and say, “please explain yourself a little” and she is at a loss for words.
Then I can say, “am I making you feel uncomfortable?” I’m so sorry for your discomfort.

Seriously speaking though, my kids love my variety of pillows.
One will lay their head on my stomach while another on my upper arms, etc.
When I’m on the couch they vie for the coziest spot on me!

My very insecure about being overweight friend feels comfortable with me bc she knows I won’t ever judge her. And when she feels bad about what she eats I’ll never ever say anything that might make her feel worse.
