Spaghetti and fake meat sauce
jicama slaw
curried rice salad (I know that doesn't go at all, I'm making it to also use for something later in the weekend)
roasted asparagus or
sauteed sugar snap peas (or both)
Friday (and Saturday as we usually have leftovers):
White Whole Wheat Challah
Thai Quinio Salad
Broccoli Crunch
Hummus w/ zaatar
Steamed Artichoke w/ viniagrette
Grilled Beef Ribs
Popsicles ;-)
Penina, is that Thai Quinio salad the same as quinoa (keen-wah?) My DH and I have really gotten into it lately. If so can you post the recipe?

Well...guess what? Dh went to the place we usually go for meat and THEY WERE OUT OF CHICKEN (we only eat Chabad shechita and the place where we get it when we forget to order was out) Dh is sick of beef. I had to make Shabbos on what I had in the freezer. Veggies and fruit were sky high...we don't have much...so it is emergency Shabbos (which means super, super low key)
Emergency Shabbos menu:
too busy freaking out to make challah (store bought this week)
hummus, tehina
Moroccan fish
Pureed vegetable soup (definitely not my favorite, but dh and baby love it)
schnitzels and Chinese rice
tommorrow
cold cuts
leftover schnitzels
salads
No cholent (dh said NO BEEF and I only have a pot roast in the fridge so I'm not wasting that on cholent)
maybe at the last minute I'll make a vegetarian cholent. but it isn't my thing.
Chocolate cake.
Ho humm...well, good Shabbos

I feel inadequate reading this thread.
Friday nite: goulash cut up tiny in tomato sauce, whole rice with curcum, lentil and veg soup.
Shabbos lunch: chicken, baked potatoes and sweet potatoes
that's it.
Challah.
Salad.
It was a long and hard week.
