I live in Canada and my kids and many of their friends have been wearing Moose Knuckle coats for years as it's one of the warmest brands for our cold winters. I had never heard of this slang until I read it here on imamother. Many of my secular clients wear Moose Knuckle clothing and they are refined, sophisticated people whom I doubt view the logo as anything vulgar.

I just searched the main website of the company and this is what it says about the name:"The name comes from a combination of two of Canada's greatest things: a moose and a hockey fight. The logo is a moose footprint in the snow with the hooves representing brass knuckles," says Ally Kemper, the company's marketing director. "Our brand is younger and cheekier than some of the other winter coats brands out there. We try and have fun with it and show that Canada is more than just the frozen tundra."

"A quick search engine entry will reveal another definition, one perhaps best left unwritten here. Whether there's a real connection there, we'll leave up to your dirty mind. But Twik, for his part, claims the name has nothing to do with that usage and everything to do with paying homage to Canadian heritage. Once that was made clear to the luxury retailers—outside of Saks, the brand will sell in Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's—Moose Knuckles was given the green light. Now, it'll join other Canadian brands that want to succeed on their own terms, and without leaving home"

I won't be telling my kids to stop wearing their coats (they're expensive good quality coats) and I won't be telling them about the possible second meaning of the word Moose Knuckle. My humble opinion is that you can find vulgarity in anything, depending what you're looking for.

Yup it’s definitely sane to walk around with a logo of b**** on your coat

I was just about to say everyone’s busy writing about p**** and other vulgar phrases but I can’t write about the logo 🙄

How ironic that my post gets reported but we can all walk around displaying a picture of that on our coat sleeves

Maybe because the logo isn’t what you think it is.

From Google: The philosophy of Moose Knuckle is based on the Canadian heritage and active lifestyle. The company also treats everything with a great sense of humor, that's why on the internal part of each Moose Knuckle down jacket you can see the badge, which depicts the fight of Canadian hockey players.

Do you really think its coincidence that it has a double meaning.
And if they really had no intention of the other meaning don't you think they could've figured out a different way to pay homage to their Canadian heritage.

You don't have to throw out your coat if you don't want to but don't convince yourself that there is no intention here to have both meanings represented.

(Does the logo look like a moose hoof print to you as one post said it supposed to look like, or do you see hockey players fighting as you posted?-- I don't see that represented at all but the meaning that officially has nothing to do with their brand is clearly represented.
With the amount of money they spend on branding and logo design it's impossible its an oversight)

Yeah right.
The instagram page of the coat brand itself has a picture of a bunch of the moose knuckles logos, with the caption "make a balls joke, we dare you".
But the brand has nothiiinnnnnggg to do with that no, its just one big coincidence

Clearly represented? Then how come in all the years the brand has been around and all the people I’ve come across wearing them, I (or anyone I know both in the frum and secular worlds) have never thought of the logo that way? The only place I’ve ever encountered this is right here on imamother.

I don’t have Instagram. I googled and that’s what came up.
Out of curiosity-anyone remember when Abercrombie had basically make models (for sure shirtless) in all their stores walking around? And BY girls always had to have their bags, like how the lulu bags were the in bag. How is that any more appropriate? Or Victoria’s Secret?
How about if the ppl who think inappropriately when they see moose knuckles brand, just don’t buy it? Buy a different brand! Don’t give in just because everyone else has it! You’ll survive!

I don’t have Instagram but I googled moose knuckles Canada and got this

Moose Knuckles Canada
Engineered for the tundra, designed for the city
Pensé pour la toundra, conçu pour la ville
linkin.bio/mooseknucklescanada

I have a feeling she isn’t on the right Instagram account…

If Imamother administered Rorscharch tests, the image would be the Moose Knuckles logo.
