Is there a need for Dyslexia school / tutoring center in Monsey?
Teachers, what route do you suggest to parents when a child is reading several grades below grade level? How often do you encounter such a child? What grade do you teach?
May I suggest putting "monsey" in the title and perhaps changing the category to NY inquiries or something broader than teachers? The answer is going to be very location dependent.
I think there is a huge need to train preschool & first grade teachers to spot the signs of dyslexia. So many go undiagnosed and feel dumb their whole education for no good reason. I don't know if your area needs a center but all areas can use professional liaisons to communicate the needs of the children with all the schools so their needs are taken seriously and met.
