Looking for a salad idea for our dairy chanukah party. Can't have vinegar in it, but otherwise open to all ideas! Something good for adults and kids.

canned kernel corn
red peppers
black olives
avocado

lemon juice
oil
salt
pepper (I used to use a bit of cayenne pepper, we love that, but was too spicy for my kids. Now I use black pepper.)
garlic
cumin

my family's favorite - adults and kids!

We love Haloumi salad. I make one inspired by Rimon in Israel.
Cube and season sweet potato with olive oil, salt and pepper. Bake on 400 until crispy.
Sauté a sliced red onion and fresh mushrooms; when soft, add in teriyaki with a dash of honey.
Cube and bread haloumi cheese in flour, egg and cornflake crumbs. Fry until browned (this takes very fast).
To assemble:
Toss lettuce with cubed cucumber, a little olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Top with teriyaki mushrooms and onions. Add fried haloumi and crispy sweet potato, and halved cashews.
It’s a full meal!

I like to do Greek salad for chanukah. First of all, Greek. Second of all, it has olive oil. And cheese. Ticks all the boxes and way healthier than donuts.
