Hello! Im a first time teacher and my school doesn't really have many resources/guidance in this situation so I figured Id try here. I am looking to give my students their first Chumash but am not creative enough to come up with a play. I was told that songs are sufficient but I'm not sure what songs would be best and/or how to "run this". The school is relatively new and I think this will be the first class receiving their Chumashim. Unfortunately I dont remember my Chumash play so I cannot pull from there- any leads/ guidance would be GREATLY appreciated.

From the chumash party of my own children, the children have a crown and a sash of some sort. They all should come in white shirts.
The head will say a few words before the children perform.
They can sing a short song or songs, but I can't remember what they sang. I think often there will be a creative teacher who might put some english words to a song. It could be there might be an uncle moishy song, I know there's a siddur party album, I'm not sure about chumash.
Then the children are called up one by one and presented with their chumash.
Can you call up another school that is similar to yours and ask what they do? Or if you know any other teachers of that age children.

My kids school does the story of hillel and the snow. The sing tov li toras picha, a 6 days of creation song . Give out chumashim with a sticker inside with their name.
Each kid can get a beis cookie or a big chumash cake.

Boys school or girls school?

Assuming girls, they all wear white/black shirts (you decide) and black skirts, tights, shoes... School provides a bow/hat/headband and a sash/collar... Something to look fancy and uniform.
girls on a stage with a banner saying haschalas chumash mesibah...
They sing songs* with motions and then a menaheles or morah has each one come upindividually and hand them the sefer. They sing siman tov umazel to each girl with her name.

Afterwards they have special decorated cookies/cupcakes for each girl and soda
